Sun. Inspiration: Maine State of Mind

Voted the "most peaceful" state (by the Institute for Economics and Peace) due to its low crime rate, low number of incarcerations, and lowest number of police employees.

Keep it up, Mainers (and Gov. LePage)!

Defining Maine as peaceful and low-crime presumes you don't include those towns that the Somali refugees were dumped in. The Somalis have proved to be a disaster for those communities that were unfortunate to have been chosen to "host" them.

Actually I think it presumes that - this is an overall ranking and what state in the US doesn't have some degree of liberal social engineering disrupting the status quo.

No, Izzy, Lewiston and Portland are a mess. Bangor is the size of Northampton and has something like FOUR Methadone Clinics at this point.

No, Maine is a MESS and we won't even get into the Lobster Wars...

LePage is good though. His email to state employees was PRICELESS....
