As tragic as the loss of her brilliant mind was, the sad thing is that truly brilliant children are not tolerated in society and that we only know of her brilliance because we can do the math and realize how young she was when she died, and hence when she wrote this stuff.
What would have happened to her had she lived -- had there been no Holocaust? More likely than not, she would have been eventually forced to conform to a world where physical giftedness is celebrated by intellectual giftedness not, where she could be socially acceptable or be herself and likely having to choose the former.
This is what fascism truly is, and we really can not tolerate people who are different. Were Anne Frank attending any large college or university today, she likely would be locked up in the psych ward....
