Izzy -- there is more. It was AK-47s that were smuggled into Mexico, and it was an AK-47 that was fired at the Presidential Bedroom a while back -- by someone who sounded to me like having a Mexican last name.
One round went into the bulletproof glass and a second into the building itself -- heaven only knows where the rest of the clip went -- and I like to think that our government is competent enough to armor the White House to withstand something a whole lot bigger than a 7.63 mm round.
I like to think this at least -- and if they can build Biden's Elevator, they can do something here too...
But still -- if it was a F&F gun....
Ed, that shooter you reference does have a Hispanic surname - Ortega-Hernandez, but he is described in the media as American and is from Idaho. Apparently a mentally disturbed sort.
