The LOTR movies did reasonable justice to the uplifting nobility that permeates Tolkien's great work.
The contrast between these fictional noble leaders and our own self-serving and corrupt leaders is a bitter one. I guess that's why they call these types of works "fantasy".
Chuckling at your fantasy comment.
Don't forget, though, that even 'Mordor' called the shots even in LOTR (until Fordo did his ring tossing) - and we can attempt to overcome evil by striving to not be like the evildoers.
