Buddy Roemer? Who dat?

From the Public Policy Polling report that Drudge linked to: "The Republican caucus in Iowa is headed for a photo finish, with the three leading contenders all within two points of each other. Ron Paul is at 20%, MittRomney at 19%, and Rick Santorum at 18%. Rounding out the field are Newt Gingrich at 14%, Rick Perry at 10%, Michele Bachmann at 8%, Jon Huntsman at 4%, and Buddy Roemer at 2%.

The momentum in the race is completely on Santorum's side."

A pity given that Santorum is Gingrich lite.

In the photo: Rick chillaxing with U2's Bono, pow-wowing about a redistribute-your-wealth scheme known as The Global Fund.

"The Problem with Rick Santorum" was published in 2005, but it remains prescient.

Update: Senator Rand Paul on Rick S.: "He voted to double the size of the Department of Education. He voted to expand Medicare and add free drugs for senior citizens and he has voted for foreign aid. Those are not conservative principles. Seventy-seven percent of the American people are opposed to foreign aid and Rick Santorum has voted for it every time it's come down."
